Skilled carpenter Ahti Säkkinen couldn't bear to stay employed by another company, but wanted to trust his own work. So he founded his own company in a yard building in 1982 and began manufacturing furniture according to customers' wishes. It's good that Ahti trusted in success as an entrepreneur, because the carpentry skills passed down from generation to generation have been a visible part of Puustamo's products throughout the company's history.
The company's leadership was transferred to Ahti's son Pertu in 2016. The business idea of individual carpentry work took shape in connection with the generational change to the production of individual solid wood doors. In 2023, the ownership base was increased, which has brought Puustamoo product design and marketing expertise. At the same time, the operations have expanded to include entrance elements and other door solutions.
One of our long-term goals is to increase the value of the entrance and make doors a topic of conversation in building design. We trust in the visuality and power of wood as raw materials for sustainable growth.
We cherish the Finnish craft tradition, which is why Puustamo doors are still made by carpenters from Kuusamo.

It is important to us that the customer receives the desired product package. We manufacture doors that are energy efficient and insulating. We cherish the heritage of Finnish forests and wood. It is passed on in good hands, from generation to generation.

Our doors are beautiful and fit into the architecture of the projects. We create visually inviting and aesthetically appealing entrances. Design is part of our identity.
WARRANTY
Puustam's products have a two-year warranty in accordance with the general terms and conditions of construction contracts (YSE 1998), regarding manufacturing and material defects. The door's straightness guarantee is 10 years; the door will not permanently warp by more than 5 mm.
